Worship
Church of St. Joseph
Greenwich has long been a center of worship in southern Washington County. In 1767 the Bottskill Baptist Church became the first organized place of worship in Greenwich.
In the middle of the 19th Century, Greenwich became an important stop on the Underground Railroad. Local Quakers and members of the Congregational Church were active in this effort.
Most of the major religions have places of worship in the village. Below you will find a complete list of religious organizations with a presence in Greenwich.
