Tourism Parks
Greenwich is filled with numerous small parks. The village alone has 5 parks. The Town Beach on the banks of the Battenkill is a popular spot on a hot summer's day.
Carter's Pond State Wildlife Management Area off County Rt 49 is a favorite spot for hikers and fishermen. Two excellent golf courses are located just across the Battenkill in the Town of Easton.
The Town Beach
The Greenwich Town Beach is located just north of the Village on State Route 29 on the banks of the Batten Kill. The beach is open daily from late June until mid-August. Facilities include a pavilion, BBQ grills, volleyball net, half-court basketball, playground and, of course, swimming.
The Commons
The Commons is a beautiful park area behind the Town Office Building. This area was developed with community donations and volunteer help for your enjoyment.
The Commons is the home for the free "Food For Kids" summer program. Please take a stroll, enjoy a lunch, bring your family for a picnic or use it as a picturesque setting for special occasion photos.
